About us

My family consists of my husband and I, our two boys, our Malinois X, Meka, two Netherland dwarfs bunnies, oh and Axolotls.

We had an amazing German Shepherd cross (Kai), who I rescued years ago.  She was my best friend and the best family dog you could ever have. We had to make the hard decision to put our dear Kai dog down mid last year.  She was 21 years old and it was time sadly.

Kai was very young at heart and my business kept her young. She was a rescue that we got from Heathlands Animal sanctuary. She was in a terrible state when we got her and couldn't wait to give her a loving home.

Meka is another rescue, from RATs.  She's a fantastic loving young 2 year old Malinois X.  Full of energy and loves to play. She loves daycare and has many boyfriends and we are still in training for her to learn to trust people, especially men.

We live in a lovely village at an end of a close in a semi detached house with a large garden so plenty of space.

I have always worked with animals and animals have always been in my life.

I used to run the family business, which was a quarantine kennels and Cattery. My father used to also bred dogs and cats, so have had many years worth of experience with care, different diets, animals medical needs, grooming and whelping. I have worked in kennels, shelters, vets and my last animal job was a Zoo keeper. I also have an Animal Science degree and have First Aid training with animals. So plenty of hands on experience as well as owning a couple of my own, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small furries as well as chickens.

Walks around this area are lovely. We have access to a river walk, which my dog LOVES or the Heath in Royston, which she also LOVES. I bundle all in the van and go for a great walk in the woods.

With having our two boys and being a full time mum, I wanted to still be able to do what I love.  Hence now owning my forever growing business Family Pet Care.

Family Pet Care Family

Christina, Nicki & Lucy are the best at looking after my Cheeky Jackapoo Amy. I was nervous at the start, but love the safe, loving enviroment that Family Pet Care provides. Amy cannot wait to get into daycare and knows the way there in the car. As Christina says I go to work guilt free knowing my puppy dog is loved and cared for like royalty! (wish I was there!) Thank you FPC x

Our cocker spaniel always has the most wonderful time at Doggie Day Care. All the staff are so caring towards the dogs and provide lots of fun and enrichment throughout the day. I would highly recommend Family Pet Care.
