During Covid, countless businesses faced tough challenges, and mine was no exception! I truly feared I might have to close my doors for good. But then, as everyone started welcoming adorable dogs and puppies into their homes during lockdown, my business bounced back like never before!
I'm thrilled to announce that we’ve expanded into a brand new facility in Meldreth, near Cambridge, dedicated to all my doggy daycare clients—both old and new. With a fantastic location, stunning design, and an incredible team, I couldn’t be more excited.
Daycare will take place exclusively in our new building, while boarders will still have the cozy atmosphere of my home overnight, with daycare during the day. We’re open Monday to Friday, and just a quick note—clients must arrive by car, as we are on a heavy vehicle site.

Staff are all Dog first aid trained and have other dog care qualifications.

Nicki
Nicki has been a vital part of Family Pet Care since we opened our doors and even worked with me before we expanded! She has built amazing connections with all dogs and clients who visit us. Working with dogs has always been her true passion, and she found the perfect place to pursue that here at Family Pet Care. Over the years, Nicki has lovingly owned dogs of her own and treats every pup that comes through our doors as if they are hers! Not only is she Canine First Aid trained, but she’s also currently diving into an Animal Management and a course focused on dogs with anxiety. Nicki is truly one of the hardest-working people I know, and her incredible personality, filled with love and laughter, keeps the FPC team thriving! Here’s to many more fantastic years ahead!
Lucy
Lucy has been an integral part of our team since the very first day and her deep love for dogs is remarkable. She is the proud owner of three delightful Dachshunds, who occasionally brighten our daycare with their playful spirits. Lucy’s nurturing attitude towards all the dogs in our care showcases her exceptional skills and dedication to their well-being. Furthermore she is trained in Canine Aid, ensuring that she is always prepared to provide the best possible care. We genuinely cherish Lucy and have no doubt that anyone who has the pleasure of meeting her would feel the same warmth and admiration!
Lucas
Lucas has been with us since the very beginning and hasn’t looked back! After school, he would come in to spend time with all the dogs, and his love for them is simply infectious! Now that he’s finished school, I’m thrilled to have him on board part-time. Just like his amazing mum, Nicki, Lucas works tirelessly and showers every dog that walks through our doors with affection. They absolutely adore Lucas, and we truly can’t imagine our daycare without him!
